Rig Toolbox provides free driving practice, calculators, checklists and driver information. This policy explains what information may be processed when you use the website.
Information you provide
Most pages can be used without creating an account. If you submit a truck-stop report or other feedback, the information you enter is processed so it can be reviewed. Approved public reports may show the stop, location, report category, report text and submission date. Do not include phone numbers, email addresses or other personal information in a public report.
Practice-test progress
Practice-test answers, order, progress and scores may be saved so an attempt can be resumed. A device identifier may be stored in a cookie for up to one year. If an optional site sign-in is used, saved progress may be associated with that site account. You may still read the website and take a new practice test without signing in.
Calculators and browser storage
Calculator values are designed to run in your browser. Rig Toolbox does not intentionally collect the numbers entered into the calculators. Your browser may store limited preferences or progress on your device.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, hosting and security systems may receive technical information such as the requested page, time of access, browser and device type, approximate location derived from an IP address, and diagnostic information. This information is used to deliver, secure and improve the website.

The website links to government agencies and other third-party services. Their websites have separate privacy policies and practices. A link does not mean that Rig Toolbox controls the third party.

Information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the feature, security, legal or operational purpose involved. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
Rig Toolbox is a general-audience driver information website and is not designed to collect personal information from children. Visitors should not submit another person’s personal information in reports or feedback.
